The Quick Intro

What we do

Every building has something to say. Our role is to listen carefully—to the site, its history, its materials, and the people who will call it home. We design architecture that is rooted in place and shaped by time, drawing inspiration from the practical wisdom found in historic buildings and the best possibilities of contemporary life. The result is work that feels familiar without imitation, thoughtful without excess, and built to grow better with age.

Who we are

Since 1999, D’Arcy Jones Architects (DJA) has refined an inventive, ever-evolving design process. Over the years, we’ve been recognized for well-crafted projects that are rational and conceptual, and not afraid to experiment with the more artful sides of architecture. Our work has ranged from homes and commercial spaces to arts and cultural projects, in both urban and rural areas. We are interested in projects that challenge us to explore new design across a wide range of budgets.
